It was cold and wet on race day so I was very appreciative of your scaffolders erecting the finish line in those conditions.Race numbers were a little down this year with 615 finishers, mainly due to the cold wet weather. However, it was an exhilarating race with Rob Samuel winning for the third consecutive year in a time of 31.35. Due to a massive team effort and the support of sponsors we will again be in a position to make donations to our chosen charities. These are St Johns Ambulance who provide first aid cover on the day, Ty Gobaith and Shine (formerly the Association for Spina Bifida & Hydrocephalus). Shine were present on the day and their mascot was the official starter of the race"
