Over the past 20 years we have developed specialist skills for carrying out scaffolding operations within the water sector. We are approved contractors for Welsh Water, United Utilities and Dee Valley Water erecting scaffolding for both planned and reactive maintenance.
We work for numerous contractors on the latest AMP framework and recently we were the main scaffolding contractors for GCA Joint Venture on the £300 million Liverpool WwTW Project. We also work for a number of mechanical and electrical engineering companies on both foul and clean water treatment plants.
Both our management and scaffolders are now all highly experienced in working within the water sector, which significantly reduces the chance of encountering issues when they arise on site. We regularly find that most other scaffolding contractors really struggle to comply with the higher standards required of them when they work in the water industry.
We however, are accustomed to the need for full risk assessments, handovers, inspections and inductions. Many of our scaffolders are City & Guilds confined space trained, hold the EUSR water hygiene cards and have passed fit-for-work medicals. We also carry the required calibrated equipment such as gas monitors, winches and saver sets.
